Researchers from the Faculty of Natural Resources, PSU, created herbal scent rubber glue ant repellent. This product is easy to use, very sticky, and stick well to any materials. It can be molded into any shapes or wrapped with a container or table legs.
Ms. Wachirapon Monkanpai, Mr. Thanakorn Kamnerdpol, and Mr. Nawawee Mad-adam, students of Department of Material Product Technology, Faculty of Agro-Industry, PSU with Dr. Somporn Nilmanee as an advisor, received 2nd place award from INNO for Change 2020 by NiDa.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Karun Thongprajukaew, Department of Applied Science, Faculty of Science, PSU received an outstanding award in Environmental and Technological Science –TTF Award 2019-2020 by Thammasat University and Toyota Thailand Foundation. The award is for his book entitled “Digestive enzymes in Aquatic Animals”
RDO congratulates Asst. Prof. Dr. Pimchanok Buapet, a professor from the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science who was elected as one of Southeast Asian Women 2020 in Science and Education category by Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Women's Leadership Academy Alumni Network. There are 80 selected people out of 10 countries – 16 categories. The aims of this network are for supporting leadership role of women and support Southeast Asian collaboration.
PSU collaborated with private sector, including Energy Absolute Public Company Limited, Dhipaya Insurance Public Company Limited, Somapa Information Technology Public Company Limited, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, BCPG Public Company Limited, Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited, Lao Airlines, and Pisona Tour Co., Ltd. to develop the PSU COVID-19 diagnose set by Asst. Prof. Dr. Theerakamol Pengsakul, Dr. Jidapa Szekely, Dr. Piyawut Swangphon, Dr. Teerapat Nualnoi, Dr. Natthaphon Na Nakorn, and Dr. Paweena Wongwitwichot from Faculty of Medical Technology and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. This diagnose set is for screening people in risk groups which only takes 15 minutes.

Prince of Songkla University’s research teams jointly invented and developed automatic hand gel dispensers to help medical staff during the Covid-19 epidemic situation in Thailand. Songklanagarind Hospital and PSU’s Faculty of Medicine are ready to handle the emerging challenges by providing a variety of prevention measures, including adequate preparation to receive patients, assistance to medical staff at risk of infection, careful resource management, and prevention of the spread of infection to hospitalized patients.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Jumphon Chuenjitsiri, Vice President for Legal and Academic Services, PSU stated that PSU was aware of COVID-19 outbreak. Therefore, the research team had coordinated with the professors of Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering to solve this problem in an easy way with small investment.
