For many years, researchers have invented latex products to counter dropping rubber price. Latex pillow is among the most popular of such products. Known for its high quality; the pillow is made with soft and flexible latex materials that redistribute pressure hence remedy body ache and pain and support optimal blood flow while providing ergonomic head support as well as good ventilation.
Despite its popularity and demand from foreign countries like China and Japan, PSU researchers observed two main issues related to production, including logistics and marketing. The production sorely lacks efficiency in business operation and order management. This means the community enterprise groups are losing competitive edge. In order to understand marketing structure and demand, the researchers have invented a principle of marketing logistics to help analyze and alleviate problems for latex pillow production and supply chain logistics so to increase competitive potentials in the market. If successful, the productivity will not only benefit retail entrepreneurs in the community but also rubber industry operators as well as governmental units such as Rubber Estate Organization, Rubber Co-op, Department of Industrial Promotion, etc.
